Title: Falls, Fingers and Gorges

Towering falls, deep gorges, and skinny "finger" lakes mark this fertile land that once upon a time had large sheets of scouring, glacial ice moving above it. And centuries ago - long before the Europeans settled the land - the dominant Iroquois tribes of northeast America paddled their canoes and roamed the land between the scattered native settlements around the lakes. Now, this landscape of rolling hills and gorgeous farm land, vineyards, and corn fields pass by your window as you drive along the curving single land roadway. This is the charm that brings thousands of vacationers to the Finger Lakes region of New York State.
